Tu Vais Para Assomada

Dear Family,
Happy Transfer day! Yep, so my time here in mote sossego has come to an end and I will be returning to the island of São Tiago! But instead of Praia I´ll be going to assmoada which is way inland and apparently very cold :/ but I´m so excited because I will yet again take my MTC comp. Sister Forsyths place in the area of Nhagar and serve with Sister Barbosa. Another Brasileira, here I come!
Anyways, I´m lazy so I haven´t got a lot to say this week, I just wanted to leave yáll with a little thought about the Spirit. I´ve seen so many miracle while on my mission, but a lot of times the miracles they don´t happen when were teaching or during our prosilyting time at all. They almost always happen when people are alone saying they´re prayers. This week we taught the word of wisdom and law of chastity to our investigator Flavio and he kept saying "I don´t know sister", because he drinks a lot of coffee and he wanted to put in an earing, so we were pretty worried as he had this attitude for a couple of days and he wasn´t praying or reading :( buuut, after he finally read and prayed he completely turned around! When we came to teach him and asked about his study and prayers he just quietly responded that he had read and prayed and that it was good...to which we asked how he was feeling about the commandments and he responded that he wouldn´t drink coffee anymore and said he didn´t want an earing now either! He didn´t elaborate much about his experience, but we saw that it was enough to completely turn around his priorities. I´ve seen the Spirit change peoples hearts sooo much during the mission and testify that it really isn´t just a good feeling but a feelingthat drives people to do good. (mosiah 5:2)
Anyways, keep up sharing the light out there, say your prayers, read the scriptures and if you have any worries or doubts, ask God :) love you guys!

Ib-pro-Fun!

Queridos!
The transfer is hastening towards the end, JÀ! Passou rapído. Mas é vida. Luckily we still have two weeks left and lots of work and milagres packed in! Much prayers and fasting has really brought some blessings to us here in monte sossego and this week we´ve been seeing the fruits, so were excited to see how it all pans out.
These past couple weeks I´ve been reading a lot of general conference talks because we finally got the ensigns! (island life). So my two reading suggestions today come from this conferences priesthood session: Feasting Upon the Words of Christ by Elder Takashi Wada and The Quorum: A Place of Belonging by Elder Carl B. Cook. I Especially loved the latter, mainly because in my mission I have seen this exact example that he gives and the power of young people (or people of any age) fellow-shipping and sharing the gospel, or strengthening in the gospel, those around them. The domino effect of missionary work and ministering done by members is unbelievable.
Anyways, vamos em frente. Appreciate how close yáll are to a temple and save some souls, read some scriptures and take the sacrament!  Love you all sooo much!

PS. title explanation: actually just a a shout out to our zone leaders who, after we ran out of ib-pro-fun, gave us an entire bottle, and we gonna need it. Thanks Elders.

It's A Party in the USA

Familia Dearest!
I know yáll were so excited about that quality email I sent last week, buuuut this week I have reverted back to my lazy self (also forgot my planner so I have no idea what happened), so here´s a a highlight from this past week and enjoy the many pics :)
We found and marked a baptismal with a golden investigator #fastingworks. But it was literally an actual miracle because it was a man whose brother is a member but he didn´t give him as a reference to us, we just contacted him in the road. He´s actually talked to missionaries a lot in the past but he´s always had alot of doubts about the book of mormon. Anyways, when we come back the second time, the spirit had totally just changed him and he accepted to be baptized! And the best part was the smile on his brothers face when he accepted, he´s been waiting for a looong time for his brother to join him as a memeber :,) so that was the greatest.

Good Times and Sunshine!

Familia Dearest,
I know I should be a lot better at writing emails, but I just can never remember anything of what I should write these days! But I brought my journal with me so heres a couple of gems from this past week!
Eleana was baptized!!! Ahhhh! It was soooo amazing, I love her so stinking much. She is so prepared and was sooo excited, I don´t know if I ever taught someone who understaood so well what it really meant to be baptized and make a promise (covenant) with God, but she´s so bright and in tune with the spirit. Her baptism was beautiful and she cried sharing her testimony at the end <3
Other things, this week we were talking to Iva and Ruben and  Iva told us about a goal she has to read the entire Book of Mormon in a MONTH! She´s so amazing and dedicated to learning about the gospel and growing her faith. Even though she can´t be baptized yet, she doens´t let that get her down or hold her back from building her relationship with Pai Celestial.
Also, we have these two investigators, Alexandro and Irinil, and we´ve trying to teach them forever but something always went wrong so we never managed to until this last week, and we had an amazing lesson! The spirit was so strong and then later in the same week, Irinil found at his work one of those "teachings of the prophets: Lorenzo snow" books, that someone had left behind or somethings and he grabbed it because he felt like he recognized it and he´s been reading it! And he came and started asking us about it and it was just sooo coincidencial that it couldn´t be a coincidence y´know!
In other news, I love Sister Pasi, serving together has been sooo fun and she´s been such a blessing from Pai Celestial in my life. Also we realized that not only did we come into the mission together, but we came into the world together!!! Turns out she was born the day after me, but with the time difference of Tonga and America it ends up being that we were born nearly within an hour of eachother! Haha, we´ve decided she is my tongan twin :)
And now for the Photos:
