Making My Way Down Town Walking Fast

Hey Fam!
So this week was a good time here in Sal :) Met a lot of cool people, I'm already feeling pretty at home here. Loving the service as usual. Don't have a ton of time left but everybody keep moving forward, enjoy that Utah snow ;) because were melting here in Sal also, fun fact for this week: we had to go get the other sisters passports because they were getting arrested for not having them, hahahaha, only in cape verde. But anyways hope y'all enjoy the three pictures we took this week of me with some animal friends and an egg-less peanut butter banana cinnamon cake :)

I'll Sell Your Hair To Buy Candy

Happy New Transfer Everyone!

I love transfers because even though I always love where I'm at and my companions, change is just always so refreshing! As for this new transfer, I'm headed to Sal!!! It's an island I've never been to that I hear is blazing hot but the coolest! It's been my dream to serve there! Also, a cool experience I had was that last night I dreamed that the AP's called us and told me I had to go help a girl get baptized who Sister Ashby (one of my first comps who's already gone home) had prepared. Which was weird and funny but when I woke up this morning I was thinking that maybe it was a sign that I'd serve in one of the areas she served in, then when I got my transfer call it came true because she served in my new area! So who knows, maybe I will find and teach someone she taught :) The Lord has got his timing for everything. But that was just one of the many cool lil things that has happened this week.
But, em fim, I'm also really gonna miss this area and the amazing people here, I'd been thinking I might stay so I don't feel fully prepared to leave all these people behind, so that's kinda sad but I love them so much and I never could've fully comprehended the love and relationships I could develop so quickly with complete strangers on the other side of the world. The gospel is a marvelous thing that way, bringing people together.
Anyways, I've also been studying a bit about the atonement this week and it's been a really cool experience, Sister Stewart and I were thinking of "Christ types" in stories and books, etc. and it helped us get thinking about the different dimensions and infinite span of Christs sacrifice. So maybe yáll can try something like that :) every time you watch a movie, look for the bigger story behind it (symbols of sacrifice).

Whelp, that's about it for this week fam but I love you and stay golden!

You're a Lizard Larry!

Hey Fam!
This week I actually found a lizard in our house that wasn't Larry, that was less fun. But this week was super fun, I went on two divisions! That was actually kinda exhausting but despite the lack of sleep and fun traveling in hiaces I really enjoyed it, our mission has so many amazing sisters, I love to get to know them all :) The last week of the transfer has already snuck up on us! Can't believe how fast time has been passing. I wish I had more fun and interesting stories to share with y'all this week, but honestly I'm drawing a blank at the moment but it was good, I love it here!
Everyone continue studying and applying general conference! Let the inspired messages fill your lives. Also, everyone take a minute to watch and appreciate the Book of Mormon videos, I LOVE THEM!!! Not as much as I love reading the BOM but they're really cool to see visualized :)
I love you all, do good!

2 Things That Bring People Together: Christ and Pao Quente

What a week folks! Okay but this week was actual literal madness. I just had a lot of mission meetings and stuff which was cool and really spiritual! But on top of General Conference we didn't get a whole ton of proselyting time in :/ a bummer, but luckily the Lord made up for it and this week we got to teach and take to a family night aaand general conference some young men that were a reference from a less active. Which was honestly so funny because when we first showed up and met them they were super embarrassed to talk to us and they both acted like they're gangsters, but by some miracle decided to talk to us and we were inspired to talk about repentance of all things, it was really cool to see the spirit touch them and feel their desires to change. People here are so fun and amazing.

And then of course, as the majority of you know, General Conference was amazing!!! I honestly feel like every year just gets better and better, lol. But some of my favorite talks were the ones given by Elder Holland in the first session, L. Todd Budge in the second session, Elder Eyring's in the women's session, Elder Uchtdorf's in the third session and Elder Ballard's in the last session :) (they were all amazing obviously, these were just a few that really caught my attention). I hope you all get a chance to continue reading, listening and learning from all the revelations received this last conference. I know that Russell M. Nelson is a living prophet called of God and that the church is directed and organized under direct instruction of Jesus Christ! Love you all and hope y'all have an amazing week!!!
