Fam Bam! Another glorious week has passed me by here in the
mission! The days just get faster and faster! This week in updates:
One of our investigators who has a really difficult home
situation and lives really far away came to church this Sunday!!!(that may seem
like such a small thing but for her you have no idea what a feat it was for
her!) And she came with a less active! Literally almost cried.
It's actually been pretty difficult to get people to come to
church in this area because of work and a really strong cultural influence of
Catholicism but because of that I've been able to think a lot about Sunday and
why Sunday worship is so important to me and beneficial as a commandment. And
obviously I'm always drawn back to the sacrament. We as members of the church a
lot of times forget to appreciate the connection we have with the Savior
through weekly partaking of the sacrament. But that restored power and
authority to partake of His sacrament isn't found anywhere else and there is no
more powerful or lasting way to repent and change our lives LITERALLY WEEKLY
than taking his name upon us and receiving the spirit to be with us during our
sabbath day worship. Don't forget what that means, don't forget to make the
sacrament meaningful!
On another note, I got bitten by a dog! I'm serious, it was
a dog the size of a cat buuuut it was full of a lot of anger because I now have
very clear tooth marks scared into my foot :) But it was an adventure and to
the surprise of my district leader, I didn't cry!
Also, today is transfers! I'm staying in Nhagar (obvi) and
I'm gonna train an american! (My first american comp. in six transfers!) So
that'll be cool. Her name is Sister Stewart, I'll send some photos next week!
