Ficar Firme

1/21/2019

Dear Family,

Every week I promise to write a longer, better email, but as it has become apparent that that never actually happens, I am making no promises. The time is flying by! I officially made 6 months in the mission this week and I can't believe everything that's happened and how much I've changed in so little time, and still manages to feel like it all started just over a week ago. Everyone says it goes by even faster after your first six months, but with a third of my mission already gone I hope that in my case it could just slow down a bit! But I'm rather sure 2019 is really going to be my golden year, as I will be spending all of it here in Cabo Verde!

This week was amazing! As you can see in the photos below we had toooons of family nights! Such a fun and amazing way to strengthen the ward, families, integrate recent converts and help pesquisadores learn about and feel more comfortable in the church community. I don't remember if inviting big groups of people over for family nights is a thing back there in the States, but if you haven't already tried it, you definitely should! Bomb member missionary opportunity.

Other random news, Sister Call gave me a copy of the new Ensign in english and I almost cried, it's the simple things that make you happy here.

We had two baptisms this week and it was AMAZING! I’ve been able to watch part of their journey and growth and let me tell you, it is truly amazing how the gospel changes people, lives, families and really the world. So grateful for this opportunity to be a missionary and to help them along in this journey!!!

I'm out of time but remember the important things and try your best, love you all and have a fantastic week!!!

-Sister Bradley
