Boooa Tarde!
Wow, first week of the transfer in a new area, where do I even start? Palmarejo is basically the exact opposite of Covo Figueira. I have eaten more bread in the past week than I have in the past three months and I think it might result in an early death, but they bake chocolate INTO THE THE BREAD. It's sooooo good. Also, our area is massive (like: has a lot of people massive, not hike three miles to a small village next to the volcano massive) because we live in the middle of the city, and the chici-est part no less. So we always have somewhere to be, something to do and someone to teach. It's kind of relieving because we don't have to worry about not having anywhere to go, but at the same time I feel like we've been running around like crazy all week. So crazy but nice, I think I'll quite like it here.
Sister Patricio, my comp, is a small angel. She's from Sao Paulo, Brazil and only speaks português, so my language skills are about to get another very big boost! I've basically only spoken in portuguese this last week and I'm starting to think and dream in portuguese. My zone leader after the district meeting spoke to me in english and it took me a solid 30 seconds to figure out what language he was speaking, so dom do línguas é real, mas talvez eu vou esquecer inglês. Also the creole here is a little different, but because I started my mission in covo which has the most difficult creole ever, I can already understand the majority of it, but still working on speaking it. Hyped to come home tri-lingual though!
Milagres this week!
-While waiting for transfer calls this last week (they took forever!!!!) I learned the most difficult Cabo Verdean nursery rhyme song thing ever (in creole, obvi) (title reference)
-SO MANY LESSONS!!!
-We went running and it didn't make me want to die.
-We had tons of friends in church!!! They all came and sat with us and church was sooo good and they liked it and it made me soooo happy!!!
-We have the most amazing members that are so willing and exciting to help us in the Lord's work!
-Last night there was this dog that followed us around for like 30 minutes and growled at any questionable man who passed by and we have no idea why because we didn't feed it or anything it just decided it liked us and followed us all the way home. Obviously we left it outside of our house when we got home and assumed it would leave but it stayed and then like an hour later we heard barking that lasted for a few minutes so I opened the door and there was this random man standing by our gate that it was barking at. We closed the door feeling creeped out and then the man left. So I mean, we may have been sent a guardian angel in the form of a pupper, so if that isn't a miracle I don't know what is.
-Also, I've been in Praia this week and haven't been robbed so YAY!
-Sister Bradley
Only one picture this week because I'm lame and camera-less but I'll steal more from my comp. next week, love you all and have a great week!
